During October 2012, interviews were held for the position of Deputy Town Clerk. There were a large number of applicants and the calibre was extremely high.

After a rigorous interview process, the Town Council is pleased to announce that
Mark Saccoccio has been appointed to this post.

Mark is currently employed by Central Bedfordshire Council in the Planning Team. He is a Chartered Town Planner with over 12 years experience in local government. It is anticipated that Mark will join our Team in February 2013.

He will be particularly beneficial to the Town Council in helping us meet the challenges ahead such as taking on more services from Central Bedfordshire Council and the current and anticipated housing growth.”

Leader of the Town Council, Councillor David Bowater, commented “I am delighted Mark is joining the team at the Town Council. He comes as a dedicated professional and will bring new skills and outlooks to enable us to serve the townsfolk. I look forward to working with Mark.”
