Mad Hatters, Lions, Witches and Time Travelling Cats to launch new children's trail!

Popular children’s author Julia Jarman will be at the launch of the brand new Children’s Trail in Leighton Buzzard this summer.
Set to be officially opened on August 25, the trail features 22 imaginative pieces of art inspired by characters and text from children’s literature which will weave through and around the town.
Julia, from Riseley in Bedfordshire, is author of much-loved ‘The Time-Travelling Cat’ series of books.
She will be giving a pre-launch address and signing books in Leighton Buzzard’s library after the launch at 11:30am by Cllr Angela Barker, Chairman of Central Bedfordshire Council, and the Mayor of Leighton Linslade Town Council, Cllr Alan Brandham.
The launch will include Alice in Wonderland street performers, free Mad Hatter’s hat making, face painting sessions and a special screening of ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’ at Leighton Buzzard Theatre as well as the opportunity to follow the Trail. Maps will be available at the Library.
