Leighton Buzzard Festival Singers
Description
The Leighton Buzzard Festival Singers was formed in 1951, the year of the Festival of Britain. It is a choir for four voices (soprano, alto, tenor and bass). We normally perform two concerts each year in Leighton Buzzard, usually in May and November/December. We also perform at Summer fetes, dinners and weddings.
We rehearse every Monday evening during the school term from 7.45pm - 9.45pm. at Clipstone Brook Lower School, Brooklands Drive, Leighton Buzzard.
Our repertoire is varied. Recent concerts have included Bach’s Mass in B minor, Haydn’s The Seasons and Gounod’s Messe Solennelle. We also enjoy singing in our annual carol service.

New members are always welcome.
If you are thinking about joining a choir, why not come along to one of our rehearsals? No auditions are required and you will find that we are a very friendly group. Sight reading is not essential and all you need is enthusiasm and commitment. We organise social activities and fundraising events throughout the year. We usually put on 2 - 3 concerts per year as well as singing for charity events.
