Many businesses and individuals are now choosing to restore old furniture instead of buying new. One Leighton Buzzard man who is up for the challenge is upholsterer Lee Harrison.
Lee also makes brand new bespoke designs in headboards, foot stalls and wall panels - to name a few.
Lee started off at pledge office chairs, moving onto Evans International in Aylesbury, a main furniture supplier for DFS.
He then moved to Southampton and gained invaluable experience working in/with pubs, clubs, hotels, show home prestigious new builds, gyms, P&O cruise ships, war ships, casinos, car/van interiors, interior designers, and even marquis interiors. Lee specialises in pub/clubs and wall panels. He fully understands how the pub/club trade can be difficult right now so working nights, on-site or at his workshop can always be an option for his client, leaving all seating etc put back in place so businesses can open as usual with little or no disruption. Location is never a problem, while living in Southampton he still managed to carry out and complete work in The Golden Bell in Church Square (bench seating, chairs, curtains with new tracks, pelmets and carpet), the Litten Tree in Lake Street and The Wheatsheaf in North Street. Since moving back to Linslade two years ago his work can be seen in Energie gyms and The Green Room in the Theatre District, Milton Keynes.
Attention to detail is a must for Lee so he only uses friendly/reliable people who are experts in their trade.
He works closely with local curtain/blind maker Linda Harris of creative Interiors, and local carpet fitters, so he can offer a complete service.
All fabrics/vinyls are chosen carefully to suit each environment including crib 5 contract fabrics which comply with regulations.
